This lesson bundle features both elementary and advanced level projects inspired by the great master, Paul Cézanne! In addition, you'll get a premium video showing you how to create a decorative pinch pot (a perfect hands-on project because Cézanne's favorite clay pots and jars appear in many of his paintings).
Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) was a French artist associated with the movement called Post-Impressionism. He once famously declared: "with an apple, I shall astonish Paris." In other words, he had found a way to paint–even something as ordinary as an apple–with so much depth and tonality, that he was sure the art critics in Paris would stop in their tracks!
Some things you'll learn with this bundle: closely observe the tonal values in each object (a pear, an apple, a lemon, a jar). Then, try your hand at expertly blending colors, creating cast shadows, and adding bold black outlines in the style of Cézanne. With the clay project, you'll learn to craft a hand held object you can proudly display in your home. You might even try creating a collection of tiny plant pots you can sell to friends and neighbors!
Included with this lesson bundle:
- Two templates (for the elementary and advanced projects)
- A step-by-step slide deck with two lesson options
- Two full-color mini books about Cézanne
- A step-by-step video for the grass planter air-dry clay project
