September 2024 has arrived and we're delighted to share this new lesson bundle for Artisan Monthly subscribers.
Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) was a pioneer of abstract expressionism, but what made him especially unique was how he linked colors to emotions. He believed colors could affect the soul similarly to music, and he wanted to find a way to express deep, poetic feelings through abstract art.
